No Pinoys injured in Saudi tremors – DFA
No Filipinos were among those reported injured in tremors that struck the Al-Eis area in Saudi Arabia last Wednesday, the Department of Foreign Affairs said late Friday.
The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah reported to DFA Secretary Alberto Romulo today that Filipino workers in the area were safely evacuated.
Also, Filipino workers at the Saudi Cooperative Electric Company have been evacuated, while evacuation centers (tent camps) have been set up by the Saudi Civil Defense authorities outside of Al-Eis for the evacuees.
