Police, SOCO poses for photo on hostage scene
As if the flak that the Manila Police Department (MPD) is getting is not enough after the incident of the hostage taking last Monday, photos of police officers and SOCO (Scene of the Crime Operatives) are also circulating in Facebook.
Yes, PNP officers having their photos taken in front of the bus where the hostage taking happened — as if the bus is now a tourist monument (no pun intended).

Now, we can’t really tell the people of Hong Kong (and the Chinese for that matter) to calm down and be civil if we ourselves cannot act like one and be sensitive and sympathize to the victims. This is another blow to the Filipinos and the entire nation.
That does not include the Flash Game of the Hostage Taking that was posted hours after the incident here.
No wonder Hong Kong officials immediately posted a ban on travel to the Philippines. The whole incident was all over Twitter and we can’t deny the fact that everybody is talking about us.
The tourist bus was still at the scene this afternoon, 2 days after the incident. It was later towed to Camp Bagong Diwa for further investigation and gathering of evidence.
people will always see the bad things… so just chillax. manila is safe. filipinos just be sorry for what happened and mourn for them instead of replying to those nonsense comments.

This is what manila looks like !!! The whole country is very crude …. From top of president, mayor down to every single person. This is inside their blood …. can not change…
@David
You`re too judgmental. Are you Chinese? If so, you are all fake just like your products!
You Filipino/Filipina guys know that there are Chinese and other non-Filipinos contributing to this article.
The article is an English written aricle.
By writing in Tagalog is akin to whispering behind their backs (and letting them know you are doing so). You are further exasperating the sitiation by this action.
This is not the first time I have come accross this action. Last year an Englishman was murdered in Bohol. There was a forum thread set up by his friends and relatives to try to get to the bottom of the reason why the cops were so in-efficent. Thoroughout the thread certain individuals started writing in Visaya, some foreign insults, some not.
Speaking in a different language amoungst people that do not understand it is so ignorant when there is a common language that all present understand.
…. but I do not judge the Filipino nation on a few ignorant people ….
SHAME ON YOU!!!!
im a filipino chineese, and i hate to say this but im not proud to be a filipino after looking at this picture.. sorry hong kong =(
@filchi
If you are really so sorry; why have you written your first post in a language that they do not understand?
Sounds like an insult from where I am standin in the middle.
@ filipina
So who is judgmental ?? Is that means you think that someone criticizing Manila has to be a Chinese ….
Look at it … the whole world is looking at how ulgy of these people … they are lauging, jocking & posting; taken picture in front of the hostage scene …. froeign visitor who comes to this country to enjoy but … they lost their father, mother…. a good family was stolen and now being making fun by you guys… shame on you !!!!
Look at the picture …. see it your self… and you guys putting a national flag on top of the murder’s coffin …. so that means you are agree that he is an national hero !!!! The is very crude ??? You guys can not tell what is right or wrong !!!! And …. I finally understand …. you guys can not change becasue it is in your blood … in your soul… That’s why …
should have lit a candle and offer payers instead …. posing pa kayo like stupid bitches…mga GAGO!!
should have lit a candle and offer prayers instead …. posing pa kayo like stupid bitches…mga GAGO!!
The bus driver now disappeared. All the foreign visitors should not go to Philipine, becasue they will sell you for money !!!
@ David I truly know that you are angry at the series of events that have transpired the last few days. I may agree with many things that you have been saying, but please do not condem us all. We are not all murderers and crude people. Most of us do truly morn with you and believe that what has happened is extremely tragic and could have been prevented.
As for the the flag on the Coffin I was appalled when reading about it in the news paper as well. This guy is not a hero but a cold blooded murderer. I would hope that one day you could for give the country for the mistakes that i has made. I pray that the ill feelings HK citizens feel toward the crime is not taken out on other Filipino’s that are innocent as well.
To Patrick: I definitely understand what you mean on saying it in English.. Just to clear that it’s not something like talking behind other’s back. The filipino comments in Tagalog are angry comments, bad mouth/curse to those people in the picture.
To David: I was with you on your first posts.. I thought you’re good in analogy even, as you used it to make you points. But why a sudden change? What happened to not hating the whole bloodline of the person who caused your loved one’s death? I thought that is a wise and fair thinking… what happened to that?
To the Filipinoes commenting here: it is not helpful if you comment on Tagalog. It’sunderstandable to burst out and express how you feel, but non-tagalog speaking people who also can view and participate may take it differently, which can offend them more despite your saying/feeling sorry in Tagalog.
It’s sad to the people in the photos.. you didn’t respect the crime scene.. the victims. how the people in hongkong felt about this . what if this happens to you all (to the people in the pictures only).. would you feel angry.. you added or trigger more anger from the hongkong people . how can chinese or other foreigners respect you if you didn’t respect the victims and of course if other( innocent) filipinos who is not involved with you(nadadamay). they are being blamed also. would you thought of that.. to the police, didn’t you feel ashamed alot of cases going on about you then you do this. please don’t add mistakes again.. and the people specially the students in the picture please use your conscience.. just pray for the victims and for the country’s dignity..
Stupid Police!!! SHAME ON YOU! I just hope that the ongoing investigation of the PNP will tell the truth, In our dreams they will tell the truth. If they don’t tell the truth they will again make things worst.Remember Hongkong Interpol is also doing their investigation so they will also know. To those policemen in the picture you must be relieve, and to those students I PITY you!!!!
Does Manila has public education to their own citizen ??? This is a neglect to the people whom were killed & their families. Neglecting their feeling of their lost. T o the Manila policemen & policewomen … where is your professionalism to be a public servent ???? Don’t you guys have a heart to the lost one ???
This is not funny at all….
You want people to respect you. You have to respect people in the first place. Especially they are visitors to the country.
Manila’s Panis, I mean Manila’s finest good job you just made things worst. You should’nt be called police, FOOLISH indeed!!!
wow this people have a single digit IQ to take pictures on a crime scene as if its a tourist spot. filipinos can be fucking brainless sometimes. i don’t really blame foreign people treating us as a piece of shit
That’s just sad for you to say that Filipinopride, there is no need, and even not fair, for innocents to take in resentment from other’s wrongdoings. If people will do that, the blame is on them throwing their resentment to innocents.. and it’s so shameful to do that.
Why encourage, support, or tolerate people who generalize, it’s narrow-minded, backwards, and foolish thinking.
Yes, there is a thing called cultural influence, but in a group, there are the wise and the fools. No one deserves to be punished for other’s wrongdoings.
Agreeing to people to treat all Filipinoes a piece of shit is shit itself. I will blame those who do that to innocent Filipinoes, because it’s unreasonable and foolish.
I’m an FEU alumni..so sad to see those students taking pictures on the crime scenes..What’s the matter with you guys? Your a disgrace to our school..I hope that our University Administrator will do something about this…Sana nag-palit man lang kayo ng uniform bago gawin ang stupid act na to…
ang kakapal ng muka nakuha pang mag post.. wala tlgang kwenta mga pulis!! magaling lang pag tapos na nangyari mga gago kayong lahat.. .!.
nakakahiya talaga!!
PUTA!!!!!
anong mag post baka magpose bobo ka gago magaral ka mabuti tang ina
BATMAN in DARK KNIGHT solve two group hostage of JOKER with the help of people that being hostage by reacting on what the hostage taker want. ONLY if the people react early and fast! no life must be taken!!! FILIPINO win hostage of Marco using PEOPLE POWER by will to win. WHY the HONG KONG people do not have will to win during that time? its might be fear!!!
it is not the entire philippines’ fault if there are few ignorant idiots who are acting as if nothing happened. please take into consideration that there are also filipinos out there who are ashamed and sad because of this. we don’t want this to happen, okay? nobody does. im sorry for what my fellow filipinos did, for their carelessness and ignorance and lack of concern. i can’t blame you if you could say such words, but please, your allegations hurt some of us, some of us who are innocent.
for all the people who are on those pictures: you should have thought of what might this cause. our entire nation is blamed because of what you did. people who are not supposed to be in the situation are dragged because you are self-centered.
compare the shadows of those policemen and of the bus…PHOTOSHOP!!! now make your judgement!!!
It is very important that we become sensitive to the feelings of others.
Or at least have common sense.
baka pwede pong makibalita about yung rape-murder case po nung 13 year old sa sorsogon city month of october po ata yun? may development na po ba? dapat mabigyang hustisya yung bata kawawa naman po.
