Former president Corazon Aquino will go under the knife as part of her treatment for colon cancer that she has been battling for over a year now.

This was according to Aquino’s son, Senator Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, who asked people for prayers for the successful operation of the former president.

Despite her illness, she remained active in dealing with national concerns.
