Villar to shun further Senate proceedings on ethics case
Senator Manuel Villar Jr will not participate in the proceedings of the Senate committee of the whole hearing the ethics complaint against him.
Villar said he will not send a lawyer or staff to represent him in the proceedings.
He said he will continue to answer the allegations hurled against him not in the committee of the whole, which he said is composed of presidential aspirants who were out to pin him down, but before the public through the media and distribution of primers and pamphlets.
Villar also said the decision of the committee of the whole to continue with the hearing was just a confirmation of his earlier hunch that he had been prejudged.
