Amuro Namie goes Wild in the Philippines

We’re not really sure what to call Amuro Namie but one thing that always sticks is that she’s been dubbed as the Queen of hip-hop and the J-Pop diva in the land of the rising sun (that’s Japan to those who haven’t gone to Grade 4 yet).

Amuro Namie has been a great performer since her early teens. Never a disappointment at any concert, any day, any time. To her avid Japanese fans, she’s been a name to remember for over a decade and despite the semi-retirement in the music industry, her recent comeback only shows the lady still got the sizzles.

Her newest song, Wild, is a smashing hit in Japan and will surely be wildly anticipated when it hits Manila. Now, if she could only come over to the Philippines an do one concert, we’re sure it will be packed with people. But that’s just wishful thinking.

Even if she’s already past 30 and with a kid to boot (sorry boys!), Amuro Namie still has that wild-ness vibe in her — just watch that video if you don’t believe us.

And to those who have not seen her perform, here’s a nice music video of her song “Wild” (released in March 2009 & became her 11th No. 1 single):

For now, that’s the closest we can enjoy her songs but who knows, maybe she’ll really visit us here in the Philippines and do a number or two. You can check out more of Amuro Namie’s videos and song here.

Wait a sec — did we mention we got a little something in return for writing about her here? If you missed it, then read again.
